Our Fabrics
When you're choosing something your baby will wear, sleep on or be wrapped in every day, the first question is usually simple: what is it actually made of?
We think you deserve a straight answer. Here's every fabric we use, which products it's in, how each one feels, and how to care for it.
At a glance
- Cotton jersey and cotton interlock for crib sheets, sleep sacks, swaddle wraps and burp cloths.
- Viscose from bamboo for our washcloths and hooded towel.
- Bamboo-cotton muslin for our swaddle blankets and muslin bandana bibs.
- Layered cotton and coral fleece for our bibs and Posh Burp Cloths.
A quick word on "GSM"
You'll see GSM (grams per square meter) below. It tells you how heavy a fabric is. A lower number means a lighter, thinner fabric. A higher number means a thicker, denser one. It's a handy way to compare how substantial a fabric feels.
Cotton interlock

Used in: Cozy Sleep Sacks (210 GSM), Snug Swaddle Wraps (190 GSM) and Snug Burp Cloths (190 GSM)
Composition: 100% cotton
Interlock is a double-knit cotton: two layers of knit fabric locked together into one. That gives it a smooth face on both sides, a soft, cushy hand and a gentle stretch. It's a little thicker than a classic T-shirt knit, so it has a substantial, cozy feel, which is why we chose it for our sleep sacks and swaddle wraps.
Cotton jersey

Used in: Comfort Fitted Crib Sheets (135 GSM)
Composition: 100% cotton
Jersey is the same soft knit as your favorite T-shirt. It's smooth, light and stretchy, which makes it easy to fit over the mattress and around the corners.
Viscose from bamboo

Used in: Baby Washcloths and Snuggle Baby Hooded Towel
Composition: 92% viscose from bamboo, 8% polyester. The edging around the perimeter is polyester.
Viscose is a fiber made from plant cellulose. In our case, the cellulose comes from bamboo, which is processed into a soft, silky fiber with a smooth, plush feel. The blend includes a small amount of polyester, and the binding around the edges is polyester too.
Bamboo-cotton muslin

Used in: Muslin Swaddle Blankets and Muslin Bandana Bibs
Composition: 70% viscose from bamboo, 30% cotton
Muslin is a light, open weave with a soft, slightly crinkled texture. Blending viscose from bamboo with cotton gives it a silky drape. Like all muslin, it gets softer with every wash.
Layered cotton and coral fleece

Used in: Bandana Bibs and Snug Drool Bibs
Composition: A 160 GSM 100% cotton jersey top layer, backed with a 200 GSM coral fleece (100% polyester) bottom layer
Used in: Posh Burp Cloths
Composition: 100% cotton jersey top and bottom layers, with a coral fleece middle layer
Coral fleece is a soft, plush, lightweight polyester fleece. In our bibs, the cotton jersey faces out and the fleece sits underneath. In our Posh Burp Cloths, the fleece sits in the middle, between two layers of cotton jersey, so both sides of the cloth are cotton.

Caring for our fabrics
Every product has its own care label, so always check it first. For most of our products, that means:
- Wash before the first use, then with your baby's regular laundry.
- Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, with like colors.
- Tumble dry low or lay flat to dry. Cotton can shrink a little with high heat.
- Don't bleach, iron or dry clean.
- Choose a fragrance-free, dye-free detergent and skip fabric softener, which can leave a coating on fabric.
Tested to U.S. requirements
Our products are third-party tested to meet U.S. CPSIA requirements for children's products.
